This project took shape within NHOA Energy’s portfolio of Taiwanese projects, designed to provide Enhanced Dynamic Regulation (E-dReg) services, a new service introduced in 2022 by the transmission system operator of Taiwan, TPC.
At the time of its completion, on December 5, 2023, it represented the largest storage facility in Taiwan, breaking the previous record of HePing 1 BESS, a 33 MWh system also delivered by NHOA Energy in 2022 (and also the first BESS granted access to the E-dReg market).

The technology proposed by NHOA Energy for this project is fully vertically integrated, with proprietary design and manufacturing of EnergyHouse battery enclosures and C-BESS1800 inverters.
The BESS is managed by PROPHET control platform. The application is extremely challenging especially from a control perspective, as the E-dReg service combines automatic fast frequency response with bulk energy time-shift.
This particular mechanism supports TPC in maintaining grid stability and shifting consumption peaks with a single BESS at the same time.
