Corporate

Milan, 30 September 2022 – Yesterday, NHOA attended the “Girls@Polimi – Borse per future ingegnere” three-year 15 scholarships award ceremony, held in the main hall of the Politecnico di Milano at the presence of Prof. Donatella Sciuto, Executive Vice-Rector of Politecnico di Milano, and of the other 8 donor companies.

Girls@Polimi project aims at overcoming the gender gap in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) disciplines and it is part of the Polytechnic Equal Opportunities (POP) initiatives to support and guarantee a study and work environment that respects gender identity, disability, and culture.

NHOA supports this project in a spirit of social responsibility towards issues of diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities, aiming to overcome gender inequality by multiplying by 10 the number of women engineers by 2025 and creating solid foundations for tomorrow’s women empowerment in STEM fields.

Daniele Rosati, Chief Technology Officer of NHOA who granted the award, stated: “NHOA was born as a spin-off of the Politecnico di Milano, which supported us first and provided us with all the necessary tools to perform at our best in the world of innovative technologies development. Today, in return, we are called upon to support and facilitate women’s access to STEM disciplines, an issue very familiar and fundamental for us in fighting gender inequality. That is why today we congratulate all the 15 awarded students!”.
