Tom Rosenfield
Work Experience
Tom Rosenfield, a Mechanical Engineer and Materials Scientist, began his career with The Dow Chemical Company. In 1978, he was recruited by Solarex Corporation, a pioneer in terrestrial photovoltaics to develop high-efficiency polycrystalline silicon which remains today the most widely used semiconductor substrate for solar cells.
In 1982, he moved to Switzerland to manage the Solarex European headquarters to establish the European market for Solarex and included the coordination between the company and its affiliated manufacturing licensees.
In 1990, he started Infotrak SA to manufacture electro-mechanical dynamic signage for large-scale billboard and sports advertising. In addition to manufacturing the equipment, Infotrak also used the signage to market advertising space.
Since 2005, Mr. Rosenfield has served as Chairman of Sempreverde SA, a private investment company which owns ventures which specialise in state-of-the art digital printing, large-area publicity materials, and real estate.
He is also on the board of nine private property companies in Italy and has recently joined the NHOA Energy board as a non-executive director.
Education
Mr. Rosenfield graduated from Friends Seminary in 1972 and in 1976 he graduated from Duke University with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science.
